A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WAS ISSUED FOR THE LOS ALAMOS AND SANTA
FE METRO AREAS ON ACCOUNT OF SNOW ACCUMULATION AND FREEZING TEMPS.
LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW SHOWERS OCCURRED OVERNIGHT ACROSS MUCH OF
NORTH AND NORTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO. SEVERAL SNOTEL SITES REPORTED
BETWEEN 1 AND 6 INCHES OF SNOW. 6 INCHES WAS REPORTED AT WESNER
SPRINGS SNOTEL...4 INCHES AT NAVAJO WHISKEY CREEK...VACAS LOCAS
AND RIO SANTA BARBARA. OTHER AREAS INCLUDED 4 INCHES NEAR CUBA AND
5 INCHES NEAR JEMEZ SPRINGS. SNOW SHOWERS WEAKENED AND DISSIPATED
AS THEY TRAVELED EAST.

LOW CLOUDS WITH FOG MAY LINGER BUT WILL GRADUALLY DISSIPATE
ACROSS THE NORTHWEST GIVING WAY TO PARTLY SUNNY SKIES AREA WIDE.
WRAP AROUND MOISTURE FROM THE UPPER LEVEL LOW TRAVELING EAST
THROUGH COLORADO WILL PRODUCE ISOLATED SHOWERS ACROSS HIGHER
TERRAIN AREAS IN THE NORTH. NORTHWEST TO WESTERLY WINDS WILL BE
BREEZY TO GUSTY ACROSS WESTERN...CENTRAL...AND EASTERN AREAS THIS
AFTERNOON WITH TEMPS REMAINING BELOW NORMAL.

COOL AND BREEZY CONDITIONS WITH DAILY PRECIP CHANCES IN THE NORTH
LOOK TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS AS THE UPPER LEVEL LOW
EXITS COLORADO. TEMPS WILL GRADUALLY WARM WITH INCREASING WINDS
TOWARD THE END OF THE WORK WEEK.
