WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS

MOSTLY SUNNY TO PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES PREVAILED ACROSS THE MAJORITY
OF THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. NOT SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION WAS
DETECTED OVER LAND AREAS SO FAR THIS AFTERNOON. ONLY FEW SHOWERS
WERE NOTED ACROSS THE SURROUNDING COASTAL WATERS. WINDS WERE FROM
THE EAST SOUTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

FAIR AND STABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED TONIGHT. THE
SAME WEATHER PATTERN WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH AT
LEAST MID WEEK. HOWEVER...THE LIMITED LOW LEVEL MOISTURE OVER THE
REGION WILL INDUCED A COUPLE OF LIGHT ISOLATED SHOWERS OVER
THE REGION OVERNIGHT AND EARLY IN THE MORNING. LATEST SATELLITES
IMAGES ARE SHOWING AN AREA OF SAHARAN DUST JUST EAST OF THE LOCAL
ISLANDS AND IS EXPECTED TO MOVE OVER THE AREA TONIGHT AND
TUESDAY.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...WINDS WILL BE 20 KNOTS OR LESS WITH
SEAS UP TO 7 FEET TONIGHT AND TUESDAY. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES
WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR BOTH THE ATLANTIC AND THE CARIBBEAN WATERS
TONIGHT AND TUESDAY.
