LIGHT WINDS AND CLEAR SKIES WERE OBSERVED ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS
AFTER MIDNIGHT. DENSE FOG DEVELOPED OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN
KANSAS TOWARDS SUNRISE REDUCING VISIBILITIES TO A QUARTER OF A MILE
AT TIMES. OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE MID 30S IN
NORTHERN KANSAS TO THE LOWER 50S IN THE SOUTHEASTERN HALF OF THE
STATE.

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL BECOME A CLOSED LOW AS IT MOVES INTO THE
FOUR CORNERS REGION TONIGHT, AND WILL SHOW VERY LITTLE MOVEMENT
THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON. SURFACE TROUGHING ON THE LEE SIDE OF THE
ROCKIES WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO BY LATE WEDNESDAY
NIGHT. A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE UPPER LOW WILL MOVE INTO
NORTHEASTERN COLORADO THIS AFTERNOON. PARTLY SUNNY SKIES ARE
EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON WITH INCREASING CLOUDS LATER TONIGHT.
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL ALSO BE ON THE INCREASE TONIGHT. THE BEST
CHANCES FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE ACROSS NORTHWESTERN KANSAS.
HOWEVER, STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CAN NOT BE RULED OUT FARTHER SOUTH.
THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE HAIL AND STRONG
THUNDERSTORM WINDS. THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE
WEEKEND.

HIGHS TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 70S IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
TO THE LOWER 80S IN EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS. LOWS TONIGHT WILL
RANGE FROM THE MID 30S IN NORTHEASTERN COLORADO TO THE MID 50S
AROUND OKLAHOMA CITY.
