TEMPERATURES WARMED UP GENEROUSLY THIS AFTERNOON AFTER A RATHER
CHILLY START TO THE MORNING. WHILE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES WERE COMMON
ACROSS THE WESTERN AND NORTHERN HALF OF KANSAS, CLEAR SKIES WERE
OBSERVED OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF KANSAS. HIGHS TODAY
RANGED FROM THE UPPER 50S IN SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS TO THE MID 60S IN
SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA AND NORTHERN KANSAS.

NORTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE NORTHERN AND
CENTRAL PLAINS TONIGHT AS A WELL DEFINED RIDGE CONTINUES TO MOVE
INTO THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST. AN UPPER LEVEL JET IS EXPECTED TO DIVE
SOUTH INTO THE HIGH PLAINS OVERNIGHT. THIS WILL HELP TO KICK OFF A
FEW SPRINKLES OF RAIN OR EVEN SOME VERY LIGHT SNOW JUST SHORTLY
AFTER MIDNIGHT. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE CENTRAL
PLAINS BY FRIDAY MORNING WHILE TROUGHING DEVELOPS ACROSS EASTERN
COLORADO ON FRIDAY. BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON, DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
WITH A WARMING TREND FORECAST THROUGH SATURDAY.

LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 20S IN SOUTHERN NEBRASKA TO
THE LOWER 40S IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. HIGHS ON FRIDAY WILL RANGE FROM
THE LOWER 70S IN EASTERN COLORADO TO THE MID 50S IN CENTRAL
OKLAHOMA.
