THUNDERSTORMS WHICH SWEPT ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS YESTERDAY
EVENING CONTINUED TO IMPACT CENTRAL KANSAS AND PORTIONS OF THE
EASTERN HALF OF THE STATE THIS MORNING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WERE
GENERALLY A HALF INCH OR LESS. HOWEVER, REPORTS OVER AN INCH WERE
OBSERVED ACROSS THE CENTRAL HALF OF THE STATE. LOW TEMPERATURES THIS
MORNING RANGED FROM UPPER 40S IN SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA TO THE LOWER
AND MID 50S IN THE SOUTHEASTERN HALF OF THE STATE.

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE OUT OF THE NORTHERN ROCKIES TODAY
AND MIGRATE INTO THE ADJACENT PLAINS THIS EVENING. A SURFACE TROUGH
OVER WESTERN KANSAS WILL SINK FARTHER SOUTH TONIGHT AS A COLD FRONT
MOVES ACROSS THE WESTERN PLAINS TONIGHT. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL
BUILD INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS ON MONDAY. ANOTHER ROUND OF
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON. HOWEVER, THESE
STORMS SHOULD ONLY AFFECT AREAS EAST OF DODGE CITY. A FEW OF THESE
STORMS COULD REACH SEVERE LIMITS. PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND COOLER
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED ON MONDAY.

HIGHS TODAY WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 70S IN NORTHEASTERN COLORADO
TO THE MID 80S IN THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE. LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE
FROM THE MID 30S IN NORTHEASTERN COLORADO TO THE UPPER 50S AROUND
OKLAHOMA CITY.
