REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

MOST OF THE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY FROM SUNDAY EVENING HAD DIMINISHED
SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT ACROSS WESTERN KANSAS, HOWEVER THERE WERE
STILL SOME LINGERING RAIN SHOWERS THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.
MOST OF THE RAINFALL REPORTS WERE LESS THAN A QUARTER INCH, BUT
THERE WERE A FEW LOCALIZED AREAS OF BETWEEN ONE HALF AND ONE INCH IN
NORTHEASTERN MEADE AND SOUTHERN CLARK COUNTIES.  THERE WAS AROUND
TWO INCHES REPORTED IN SOUTHWESTERN SCOTT COUNTY.  SKIES WERE MOSTLY
CLOUDY OVERNIGHT.  LOW TEMPERATURES WERE MAINLY IN THE 50S.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW OVER SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WILL MOVE ACROSS ARIZONA
TONIGHT.  MINOR UPPER DISTURBANCES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL
MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS.  A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL
REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY FROM EASTERN CENTRAL COLORADO ACROSS
NORTHERN KANSAS INTO SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO.  SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM
CHANCES WILL INCREASE LATER THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THE CENTRAL
PLAINS.  RAIN CHANCES WILL BE MUCH LOWER FROM SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS TO
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA.  SEVERE WEATHER MAY DEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON IN
THE VICINITY OF THE FRONT, ESPECIALLY FROM CENTRAL KANSAS TO
NORTHEASTERN KANSAS.  TEMPERATURES WILL NOT BE QUITE AS WARM THIS
AFTERNOON AS THEY WERE ON SUNDAY SOUTH OF THE FRONT.

HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 50S AND
LOWER 60S IN THE CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS TO THE LOWER 80S FROM SOUTHERN
AND CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS TO WESTERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA.
LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 40S IN THE CENTRAL HIGH PLAINS
TO THE LOWER 60S IN EASTERN KANSAS.
