A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MOVED NORTHEAST ACROSS WEST CENTRAL AND
NORTHWESTERN KANSAS THURSDAY EVENING.  RAINFALL AMOUNTS WERE AROUND
THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH IN THE SYRACUSE AREA WITH LESSER AMOUNTS
ELSEWHERE.  LOW CLOUDS HAD DEVELOPED ACROSS JUST ABOUT ALL OF
WESTERN KANSAS OVERNIGHT.  THERE WAS SOME FOG AND DRIZZLE REPORTED
IN CENTRAL KANSAS.  THE LOW CLOUDS HAD CLEARED OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER BEFORE SUNRISE.  LOW TEMPERATURES WERE MAINLY IN THE 50S.

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE WESTERN PLAINS THIS
AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING AND ACROSS THE EASTERN PORTION
OVERNIGHT.  A WARM FRONT IS EXPECTED TO MOVE NORTH TO NEAR
INTERSTATE 70 LATER THIS AFTERNOON WHILE A DRY LINE MOVES ACROSS
SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS.  STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON ALONG AND TO THE EAST OF THE FRONT AND
DRYLINE.  THE BEST AREA FOR LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS AND POSSIBLE
TORNADOES WILL BE FROM CENTRAL TO EASTERN KANSAS.  STRONG SOUTHWEST
WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 45 MPH ARE FORECAST FOR THE
SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON BEFORE SETTLING DOWN THIS
EVENING.  CLOUDS WILL DECREASE ACROSS THE WESTERN PLAINS TONIGHT.

HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 60S IN
SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA TO AROUND 80 FROM AMARILLO AND OKLAHOMA CITY
TO SOUTHWESTERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS.  LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE
FROM THE LOWER 40S IN THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE TO THE MID 50S FROM
EASTERN KANSAS TO CENTRAL OKLAHOMA.
