WARMER TEMPERATURES AND CLEAR SKIES WERE OBSERVED ACROSS THE HIGH
PLAINS OF KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON. HIGHS TODAY RANGED FROM THE LOWER
80S IN WESTERN KANSAS TO THE MID 70S IN THE SOUTHEASTERN HALF OF THE
STATE.

A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD INTO THE
CENTRAL PLAINS OVERNIGHT AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES ACROSS
THE NORTHERN PLAINS. SURFACE TROUGHING WILL PERSIST ON THE LEE SIDE
OF THE ROCKIES TONIGHT WHILE A WEAK COLD FRONT MOVES INTO
NORTHWESTERN KANSAS. THIS FRONT IS EXPECTED TO STALL OUT OVER THE
NORTHERN HALF OF THE STATE. CLEAR SKIES ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT WITH
SOME CLOUDS INCREASING BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 40S AND LOWER 50S ARE FORECAST FOR
WESTERN AND CENTRAL KANSAS TONIGHT. HIGHS ON FRIDAY WILL RANGE FROM
THE LOWER 70S IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA TO THE LOWER 80S IN
SOUTHWESTERN KANSAS
