...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT FOR SOUTHERN
CULLMAN COUNTY...

AT 332 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT THE BULK OF THE
RAINFALL HAD MOVED EAST OF CULLMAN COUNTY WITH ONLY ISOLATED SHOWERS
REMAINING. HOWEVER...REPORTS FROM LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
OFFICIALS REPORT THAT PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADWAYS CONTINUES
ACROSS PORTIONS OF CULLMAN COUNTY AND SOME MINOR FLOODING WAS
OCCURRING ALONG HIGHWAY 31 IN SOUTHERN CULLMAN COUNTY. RADAR
RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT 2 TO LOCALLY 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS
FALLEN ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN AND EASTERN CULLMAN COUNTY TODAY.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
HANCEVILLE...GOOD HOPE...HOLLY POND...DODGE CITY...SMITH
DAM...GARDEN CITY...COLONY...WILBURN...ARKADELPHIA AND BREMEN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
