.NOW...

...SHOWERS PRODUCING DOWNPOURS OVER THE TREASURE COAST WILL SPREAD
NORTH AHEAD OF A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH...

AT 1100 AM...A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE TROUGH EXTENDED FROM CENTRAL AND
EASTERN CUBA NORTHWARD INTO THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN BAHAMAS. A
LARGE...BUT DISORGANIZED AREA OF SHOWERS AND A FEW STORMS OR SQUALLS
AS LOCATED NEAR AND NORTHWEST OF THE TROUGH AXIS. ALSO...TO THE NORTH
OF THE TROUGH...ONSHORE EASTERLY WINDS WERE AROUND 20 MPH OVER THE
ATLANTIC...AND 15 TO 20 MPH AND GUSTY OVER EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA. THIS
WAS PUSHING SHOWERS ONSHORE MAINLY ALONG THE TREASURE COAST AND LAKE
OKEECHOBEE REGIONS...WHILE THE LARGER AREA OF RAIN WAS SPREADING
NORTHWARD AHEAD OF THE TROUGH.

INTO THIS AFTERNOON...THE THREAT FOR SHOWERS...AND POSSIBLY A FEW
SQUALLS GUSTING TO 30 MPH OR SO...WILL SPREAD SLOWLY NORTHWARD OVER
THE TREASURE COAST...WITH MORE ISOLATED ACTIVITY FARTHER NORTH OVER
VOLUSIA COUNTY AND INLAND TOWARD LAKE GREATER KISSIMMEE-SAINT
CLOUD...ORLANDO...AND SANFORD-DELTONA-DELAND. SOME LOCALLY HEAVIER
DOWNPOURS COULD PRODUCE SOME PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS FROM BREVARD
COUNTY SOUTHWARD.

ALONG THE BEACHES AND OVER THE ATLANTIC...20 KNOT WINDS WILL KEEP
SEAS GENERALLY IN THE 6 TO 7 FEET RANGE. A BUILDING EAST-NORTHEAST
SWELL WILL PRODUCE ROUGH...CHOPPY SURF...NUMEROUS STRONG RIP
CURRENTS...AND POSSIBLY SOME BEACH EROSION AROUND THE TIME OF
TONIGHT`S HIGH TIDE NEAR 1000 PM.
