..ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR THE SOUTH COASTAL
PLAINS OF PUERTO RICO TODAY AND WEDNESDAY...

PERSISTENT HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN DRY
CONDITIONS AND DESICCATE FUELS. ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER TODAY AND
WEDNESDAY AS WINDS STRENGTHEN IN RESPONSE TO BUILDING SURFACE
HIGH PRESSURE TO THE NORTH. RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES ARE EXPECTED
TO BE NEAR CRITICAL VALUES AROUND NOON TO LATE AFTERNOON. VALUES
BETWEEN 35 AND 45 PERCENT ARE ANTICIPATED IN THE VICINITY OF CAMP
SANTIAGO.

FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE BECOMING MORE CONDUCIVE FOR THE IGNITION AND
SPREAD OF WILDFIRES.
