...WIND ADVISORY WEST CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST TODAY...

LOW PRESSURE CENTERED OVER NORTHERN MINNESOTA AND ITS ATTENDING
COLD FRONT ARE THE MAIN FEATURES OF TODAY`S WEATHER. A WINTRY
MIX OF PRECIPITATION WILL FALL THROUGH OUT THE DAY ACROSS THE
NORTHERN TIER OF OUR REGION. EXPECT PRECIPITATION LINGERING INTO
THE EVENING...ACCUMULATIONS WILL REMAIN LIGHT.

STRONG WINDS ARE ESPECIALLY NOTABLE TODAY BEHIND THE EAST MOVING
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM. AREAS OF WESTERN MINNESOTA WERE REPORTING
WIND GUSTS AS HIGH AS 45 MPH THIS MORNING. STRONG WEST AND
NORTHWEST WINDS DEVELOP ACROSS MUCH OF MINNESOTA AND WESTERN
WISCONSIN TODAY.

TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN IN THE 30S TODAY WITH 40S ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN TIER. LOWS WILL DROP INTO THE 20S. EXPECT COOLER
TEMPERATURES THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AS HIGHS STRUGGLE TO REACH 32
DEGREES ACROSS THE NORTH WHILE MID 30S ARE ANTICIPATED ACROSS
SOUTHERN MINNESOTA.

WEATHER MODELS INDICATE THE NEXT CHANCE FOR PRECIPITATION WILL
START LATE SATURDAY. A STRENGTHING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS
EXPECTED TO MOVE FROM ALBERTA SATURDAY MORNING THEN DEEPEN AS IT
PASSES SOUTH OF THE WINNIPEG LAKES AND INTO LATE SATURDAY NIGHT.
PRECIPITATION TYPE IS DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE AT THIS TIME AS
TEMPERATURES APPEAR CLOSE TO FREEZING.
