WEATHER SUMMARY FOR IOWA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DES MOINES IA
519 PM CDT THU APR 30 2015

TODAY WAS ANOTHER FANTASTIC DAY ACROSS THE REGION. SKIES WERE
CLOUD FREE NEARLY THE ENTIRE DAY...WITH ONLY A FEW CLOUDS MOVING
INTO NORTHERN IOWA LATE THIS AFTERNOON. WINDS WERE DRY AND OUT OF
THE NORTH AROUND 5 TO 10 KTS MUCH OF THE DAY. THE OVERALL RESULT
WAS HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 60S TO LOW 70S...AND AN ALL
AROUND BEAUTIFUL DAY.

TONIGHT WILL CONTINUE TO BE NICE...JUST AHEAD OF THE END OF THE
DRY WEATHER. WINDS WILL BEGIN TO SHIFT THIS EVENING FROM
NORTHERLY TO SOUTHERLY BY MORNING...AND LOWS WILL BE IN THE 40S
STATE WIDE. EARLY IN THE MORNING A WEAK BOUNDARY WILL BEGIN TO
MOVE THROUGH THE STATE...BRINGING SOME LIGHT PRECIPITATION WITH
IT. THE BOUNDARY WILL WEAKEN AS IT CROSSES THE STATE...LIMITING
THE BEST PRECIPITATION CHANCES TO WESTERN IOWA. EVEN WITH THE
PRECIPITATION AND CLOUD COVER...HIGH TEMPERATURES SHOULD BE
SIMILAR TO TODAY...IN THE UPPER 60S TO LOW 70S.

INTO THE WEEKEND...TEMPERATURES AND DEW POINTS WILL RISE WITH THE
HELP OF SOUTHERLY WINDS. HIGHS WILL RISE EACH OF SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...PEAKING
IN THE LOW 80S FOR MUCH OF THE STATE. IN ADDITION TO THE WARMER
TEMPERATURES...THE PATTERN BECOMES MUCH MORE ACTIVE WITH RAIN AND
STORM CHANCES OVER THE WEEKEND AND BETTER CHANCES INTO THE WEEK.
HIGHS THROUGHOUT THE WEEK SHOULD REMAIN IN THE 70S...EVEN WITH THE
INCREASED CLOUD COVER AND PRECIPITATION CHANCES.
