CLEAR SKIES PREVAILED OVER THE STATE EARLY THIS MORNING WITH
TEMPERATURES REMAINING IN THE 40S TO AROUND 50 AS OF 4 AM CDT. A
WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE BROUGHT A FEW SPRINKLES TO PORTIONS
OF SOUTHEAST IOWA AROUND MIDNIGHT BUT QUICKLY DIMINISHED BY THE
EARLY MORNING HOURS.

MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH NORTH WINDS OF 5 TO 15 MPH ARE EXPECTED
TODAY. ANOTHER DRY AND PLEASANT DAY IS FORECAST ON THURSDAY. ON
FRIDAY...THERE IS A CHANCE FOR SCATTERED SHOWERS THROUGHOUT THE
DAY OVER MUCH OF THE STATE. THEN...EXPECT AN ACTIVE WEATHER
PATTERN TO DEVELOP OVER THE WEEKEND. SOUTHERN IOWA AND NORTHERN
MISSOURI WILL SEE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE
DAY SATURDAY AND THEN EXPECT THE BEST POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD
RAIN OVER MUCH OF THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. ANOTHER
ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY. LOOK
FOR THE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN TO PERSISTS THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT
WEEK.
