SEASONABLY CHILLY TEMPERATURES STRETCHED ACROSS IOWA THIS MORNING
WITH THE NORTHERN PART OF THE STATE SEEING TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW
20S AND THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE STATE EXPERIENCING TEMPERATURES
IN THE LOW 30S. A NARROW BAND OF CLOUDS STRETCHED FROM THE
NORTHWEST TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNERS OF THE STATE KEEPING
TEMPERATURES IN THESE REGIONS RELATIVELY WARMER DURING THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS. WINDS HAVE BEEN CALM THROUGHOUT THE MORNING.

A NARROW BAND OF CLOUDS PERSISTS OVER IOWA. AS THE MORNING
PROGRESSES...THE NARROW LINE OF CLOUDS WILL DISSIPATE LEAVING MOST
OF THE STATE WITH CLEAR SKIES THIS AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES
TODAY ARE EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN THE MID 50S AND LOWER 60S...WITH
THE WARMEST TEMPERATURES IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE REGION.
WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO STAY CALM THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE
AFTERNOON.

FOR THE WEEKEND...EXPECT A COOL DOWN DURING THE DAY FRIDAY...BUT WARMING
TEMPERATURES THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND. SUNDAY IS EXPECTED TO BE THE
WARMEST WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 60. EXPECT SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF THE STATE THIS WEEKEND
AND CONTINUING INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING. SATURDAY LOOKS TO BE THE
WETTEST DAY OF THE WEEKEND. IN TOTAL...ACCUMULATIONS THIS WEEKEND
ARE EXPECTED TO BE AROUND A HALF AN INCH OF RAIN.
