LOW PRESSURE HAS MOVED OVER WISCONSIN...BRINGING AND END TO THE
RAIN ACROSS MOST OF THE REGION. A WIDESPREAD HALF AN INCH TO AN
INCH OF RAIN FELL ACROSS MUCH OF IOWA SUNDAY INTO MONDAY MORNING.
THE DES MOINES AIRPORT MEASURED 0.56 INCHES OF RAIN AND THE
WATERLOO AIRPORT MEASURED 0.61 INCHES OF RAIN YESTERDAY. THROUGH
THE FIRST 19 DAYS OF THE MONTH...DES MOINES HAS RECORDED ITS
SEVENTH WARMEST START TO AN APRIL. THROUGH THE COOLER WEATHER
WHICH HAS ALREADY MOVED INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST TODAY...DES MOINES
WILL BE FALLING OUT OF THE TOP 10 FOR WARMEST APRILS. THIS
MORNING...DES MOINES HAD A LOW OF 43...WHILE TEMPERATURES MADE IT
DOWN TO THE MID 30S ACROSS NORTHERN IOWA AND INTO MINNESOTA.
NORMAL LOW TEMPERATURES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR ARE IN THE UPPER 30S
TO LOW 40S...AND IT APPEARS WE WILL BE AROUND 5 TO 10 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL FOR MUCH OF THIS WEEK. WINDS THIS MORNING HAVE BEEN
ON THE INCREASE...BLOWING FROM THE NORTHWEST AT AROUND 15 TO 25
MPH.

MUCH OF THE REGION WILL REMAIN UNDER A WIND ADVISORY FOR THIS
AFTERNOON...AS WINDS WILL PICK UP TO THE 25 TO 35 MPH RANGE WITH
GUSTS APPROACHING 45 MPH. SCATTERED CLOUDS WILL REMAIN AS THE
AFOREMENTIONED AREA OF LOW PRESSURE SPINS OVER WISCONSIN. WITH THE
CLOUDS AND COOL AIR...TEMPERATURES WILL NOT WARM MUCH PAST THE MID
40S TO LOW 50S FOR TODAY.

FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...EXPECT COOL AIR TO REMAIN IN PLACE FOR
MUCH OF THE REGION. NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR
ARE IN THE LOW TO MID 60S...AND WE SHOULD BE ABOUT 5 TO 10 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS WEEK. THE NEXT BEST CHANCE OF WIDESPREAD
PRECIPITATION WILL BE ON SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY AS ANOTHER AREA OF
LOW PRESSURE NEARS THE MIDWEST.
