THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES...THE MIDWEST WAS IN SOUTHWESTERLY
FLOW FOR SATURDAY. NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR
ARE GENERALLY IN THE MID TO UPPER 60S. WHERE IT WAS
SUNNY...TEMPERATURES WERE A SOLID 10 TO 15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.
UNDER MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES...SIOUX FALLS...SOUTH DAKOTA...HAD A 4
PM TEMPERATURES OF 80 DEGREES. THERE WERE CLOUDS AND ISOLATED
SHOWERS AND STORMS FROM CENTRAL TO SOUTHERN IOWA. UNDER THE
RAIN...TEMPERATURES WERE HELD INTO THE MID 60S. AT 4 PM...IT WAS
63 DEGREES IN DES MOINES. WINDS WERE ON THE BREEZIER SIDE FOR
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...BLOWING FROM THE SOUTHWEST AT AROUND 15 TO
25 MPH.

FOR SUNDAY...CONDITIONS SHOULD BE DRY IN THE MORNING. BY THE LATE
EVENING...A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL PUSH THROUGH THE REGION FROM
NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST...BRINGING WITH IT SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS NORTHWESTERN IOWA BY LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON...AND THE REST
OF IOWA BY MONDAY MORNING. SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW REMAINS IN PLACE
FOR SUNDAY AND IT WILL LIKELY BE THE WARMEST DAY UNTIL NEXT
WEEKEND. HIGHS SHOULD BE IN THE UPPER 70S ACROSS NORTHEAST IOWA TO
THE MID 80S IN SOUTHWEST IOWA.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM CHANCES REMAIN IN THE FORECAST EVERY DAY OF
THE UPCOMING WORK-WEEK. WEDNESDAY WILL BRING THE BEST CHANCE OF
STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS. HIGH TEMPERATURES SHOULD BE IN THE 70S
WITH LOWS IN THE 50S AND 60S FOR THIS UPCOMING WEEK. BY NEXT
WEEKEND...EVEN WARMER TEMPERATURES MAY BE IN THE MIDWEST WITH 70S
AND 80S LOOKING LIKELY.
