SKIES ACROSS IOWA WERE MOSTLY CLOUDY IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS
SATURDAY. A FEW LOCATIONS IN CENTRAL IOWA EXPERIENCED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. WINDS WERE GENERALLY FROM THE NORTHEAST TO
SOUTHEAST BETWEEN 5 TO 10 MPH. EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES HAD
COOLED INTO THE 50S AND 60S ACROSS THE STATE.

A LARGE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL PUSH EAST FROM COLORADO
THROUGHOUT THE DAY TODAY. THIS WILL SPREAD CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE AREA...BEGINNING IN THE LATE MORNING AND
EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL INCREASE FROM
SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST AND WILL PERSIST THROUGH SUNDAY. STORMS MAY
BE STRONG AT TIMES...THOUGH THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS LOW.
NEW RAINFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH THE WEEKEND WILL BE AROUND AN INCH
THOUGH HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THUNDERSTORMS.
PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL RETURN TO THE NORTH AND EAST MONDAY AND
MONDAY NIGHT...AS THE LOW DEPARTS.

TEMPERATURES WILL BE WARM AGAIN SATURDAY WITH HIGHS IN THE MID
60S NORTHWEST TO MID 70S SOUTHEAST. HOWEVER...COOLER TEMPERATURES
WILL COME FOR SUNDAY AND EARLY NEXT WEEK. HIGHS MONDAY WILL BE IN
THE UPPER 40S NORTH TO NEAR 60 IN THE SOUTH. OVERNIGHT LOW
TEMPERATURES WILL COOL INTO THE 30S. COOLER AND BELOW NORMAL
TEMPERATURES WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE WEEK...WITH THE NEXT CHANCE
FOR PRECIPITATION COMING LATE IN THE WEEK.
