WEDNESDAY WAS ALMOST A CARBON COPY OF TUESDAY WEATHER-WISE ACROSS
THE REGION. SUNSHINE DOMINATED THE MIDWEST AND TEMPERATURES WERE
GENERALLY IN THE UPPER 60S TO MID 70S. AT 4 PM...DES MOINES HAD A
TEMPERATURE OF 73 DEGREES...WATERLOO HAD A TEMPERATURE OF 71...AND
IT WAS 68 IN ALBERT LEA...MINNESOTA. WIND SPEEDS WERE FROM THE
NORTH TO NORTHWEST AT AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH. NORMAL HIGH
TEMPERATURES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR ARE MAINLY IN THE MID 60S...SO
TODAY/S HIGHS WERE ABOUT 5 TO 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

THURSDAY SHOULD BE PARTLY CLOUDY ACROSS THE MIDWEST. BY 7
AM...TEMPERATURES SHOULD BE UPPER 30S TO MID 40S. AFTERNOON HIGHS
WILL BE IN THE LOW TO MID 70S WEST OF INTERSTATE 35...AND IN THE
MID TO UPPER 60S EAST OF INTERSTATE 35. WINDS SHOULD BE FROM THE
NORTH TO NORTHEAST AT AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR SCATTERED SHOWERS THROUGHOUT
THE DAY ON FRIDAY OVER MUCH OF THE STATE. EXPECT AN ACTIVE WEATHER
PATTERN TO DEVELOP OVER THE WEEKEND. SOUTHERN IOWA AND NORTHERN
MISSOURI WILL SEE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE
DAY SATURDAY AND THEN EXPECT THE BEST POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD
RAIN OVER MUCH OF THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. ANOTHER
ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY. LOOK
FOR THE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN TO PERSIST THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT
WEEK.
