...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN CARROLL AND CENTRAL LEFLORE COUNTIES...

AT 1154 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT A BAND OF 2 TO 3
INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN 90 MINUTES HAD FALLEN FROM ITTA BENA TO
GREENWOOD TO NORTHERN CARROLL COUNTY. THIS HAS LIKELY CAUSED FLASH
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF UP TO AN INCH IS POSSIBLE THROUGH 1245 AM AS
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND STORMS MOVE ACROSS THE WARNED AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
