FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DETROIT/PONTIAC MI
342 AM EDT SUN MAY 3 2015

...WARM TEMPERATURES TO COMBINE WITH LOW HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS TODAY...

.DISCUSSION...FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE OF CONCERN TODAY AS
TEMPERATURES WARM TO THE UPPER 70S TO NEAR 80...HUMIDITY DROPS TO
BETWEEN 25 AND 30 PERCENT...AND FIRE DANGER REMAINS HIGH. WINDS OVER
THE SAGINAW VALLEY WILL ALSO INCREASE TO BETWEEN 15 AND 20 MPH THIS
AFTERNOON...BUT REMAIN SLIGHTLY LOWER ELSEWHERE. NEAR-RED FLAG
CONDITIONS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONLY TODAY HOWEVER AS AN APPROACHING
COLD FRONT BRINGS AN APPRECIABLE INCREASE IN HUMIDITY FOR MONDAY IN
ADDITION TO HIGH CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. CHANCES FOR
PRECIPITATION WILL THEN CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
