FLOOD STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
905 AM EDT TUE APR 14 2015

...The National Weather Service in Marquette is continuing the flood
advisory for the Chocolay River near Harvey in Marquette County...

.Warmer temperatures have allowed the remaining snow pack over the
Chocolay River drainage basin to begin melting. This coupled with a
quarter inch of rain that fell Sunday night into early Monday morning
has allowed the Chocolay River to rise above bankfull.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Residents along these rivers should remain alert and
exercise caution when walking near riverbanks.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding is possible and rivers are
forecast to exceed bankfull. If you are in the advisory area remain
alert to possible flooding...or the possibility of the advisory being
upgraded to a warning. Report observed flooding to local emergency
services or law enforcement and request they pass this information on
to the National Weather Service.

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite media outlet for
further developments and information from the National Weather
Service.
