.SYNOPSIS...

HIGH PRESSURE OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL MOVE INLAND BRINGING A
WARMING TREND THROUGH TUESDAY. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT
BASIN WILL BRING LOCALLY STRONG GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS BELOW THE
CAJON PASS AND NEAR THE COASTAL FOOTHILLS OF THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS
MONDAY MORNING. ONSHORE FLOW WILL RETURN LATE TUESDAY AND CONTINUE
INTO NEXT WEEKEND. COOLING WILL DEVELOP NEAR THE COAST AND SPREAD
INLAND ALONG WITH A RETURN OF NIGHT AND MORNING COASTAL LOW CLOUDS
AND FOG.

.SHORT TERM (TODAY THROUGH TUESDAY)...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL STRENGTHEN AND
MOVE INLAND THROUGH TUESDAY BRINGING A WARMING TREND WITH DRY
WEATHER. SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL BRING A
PERIOD OF LOCALLY STRONG GUSTY WINDS BELOW THE CAJON PASS AND NEAR
THE COASTAL FOOTHILLS OF THE SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS FROM BEFORE SUNRISE
UNTIL AROUND NOON ON MONDAY.

.LONG TERM (WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY)...

ONSHORE FLOW WILL RETURN TUESDAY AND CONTINUE INTO THE WEEKEND AS A
TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS NEAR THE WEST COAST. COOLING WILL
SPREAD INLAND FROM THE COAST INTO THE WEEKEND. AREAS OF NIGHT AND
MORNING COASTAL LOW CLOUDS AND FOG WILL RETURN WITH SLOW DEEPENING
OF THE MARINE LAYER INTO THE WEEKEND.

15Z...OTHERWISE MOSTLY CLEAR WITH UNRESTRICTED VIS FOR TODAY AND
TONIGHT. WEST WINDS 20-30 KT DECREASING RAPIDLY THIS MORNING AND
BECOMING NORTHERLY AND GUSTY OVER THE RIDGES 20-30KT THROUGH ABOUT
18Z WITH ASSOCIATED MODERATE UP/DOWN DRAFTS AND LOCAL LLWS. THE
WINDS WILL DROP OFF LATER IN THE DAY...THEN INCREASE FROM THE NE AND
BECOME STRONG AND GUSTY THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS NEAR
THE COASTAL FOOTHILLS. LOCAL GUSTS OVER 50 KTS ARE POSSIBLE BY MON
MORNING.

230 AM PDT...NORTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 25 KT EXPECTED TO DROP BELOW
ADVISORY CRITERIA OVER THE INNER WATERS BY MORNING. THE SMALL CRAFT
ADVISORY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT OVER THE OUTER WATERS AS WIND GUSTS
ARE STILL EXPECTED TO QUALIFY MARGINALLY WITH GUSTS OF 20-25 KT
THROUGH THIS EVENING. ROUGH SEAS WITH COMBINED HEIGHTS OF AROUND 10
FEET OVER THE OUTER WATERS...AND 7 FEET OVER THE INNER WATERS EARLY
THIS MORNING...WILL SLOWLY SUBSIDE TODAY THROUGH MON.

.FIRE WEATHER...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BRING A WARMING TREND THROUGH TUESDAY.
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL BRING A PERIOD OF
LOCALLY STRONG GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS FROM BEFORE SUNRISE UNTIL
AROUND NOON ON MONDAY BELOW THE CAJON PASS AND NEAR THE COASTAL
FOOTHILLS. THE WINDS COMBINED WITH DECREASING HUMIDITIES COULD BRING
A FEW HOURS OF NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS MONDAY MORNING.
