FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA AND EAST
CENTRAL GEORGIA...CORRECTED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
330 PM EDT FRI APR 24 2015

DISCUSSION TEXT CORRECTED

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WILL SHIFT OFFSHORE TONIGHT AS A
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED FRONTS MOVES TOWARDS THE
REGION. LIGHT AND VARIABLE WINDS THIS EVENING WILL PRODUCE POOR
DISPERSION. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGHOUT
THE DAY ON SATURDAY AS A WARM FRONT APPROACHES AND PASSES THROUGH
FOLLOWED BY A COLD FRONT. SATURDAY TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE SOUTH
TO SOUTHWEST AT 10-15MPH...BECOMING WEST TO NORTHWEST AT 20-25MPH
SUNDAY. MIXING HEIGHTS WILL BE 1500 TO 2500 FEET SATURDAY DUE TO
RAINFALL AND LOW CLOUDINESS...INCREASING TO 5000 TO 6000 FEET
SUNDAY. NO FOG IS EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT/EARLY SATURDAY MORNING DUE
TO INCREASED MID LEVEL CLOUD COVER...OR ON SUNDAY MORNING AS
BREEZY CONDITIONS AND FAIR TO GOOD DISPERSION IS MORE FAVORABLE FOR
LOW CLOUDS RATHER THAN FOG TO FORM.
