HENRY COUNTY ALABAMA TORNADO MODIFIED SLIGHTLY.
ADDED HOUSTON COUNTY AL TORNADO

.OVERVIEW...
A LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVED ACROSS THE REGION
ON SUNDAY, CAUSING SCATTERED DAMAGE. SURVEY TEAMS HAVE BEEN
DEPLOYED TO INVESTIGATE DAMAGE IN TALLAHASSEE, AS WELL AS TWO
LOCATION IN SE ALABAMA.

SURVEY SUMMARY:
SPORADIC TREE DAMAGE WAS FOUND ALONG A WELL DEFINED PATH. MAXIMUM
WINDS WERE ESTIMATED TO BE AROUND 95MPH, WITH THE MOST FOCUSED
AREA OF DAMAGE AROUND MERIDIAN ROAD AND MACLAY ROAD. NO
SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WAS NOTED, ALTHOUGH ONE VEHICLE WAS
CRUSHED BY FALLING TREES. A DEBRIS SIGNATURE ON THE TALLAHASSEE
DOPPLER RADAR WAS NOTED AT THE TIME AND LOCATION OF THE DAMAGE.

SURVEY SUMMARY:
A SHORT TORNADO TRACK SURVEYED JUST SOUTHWEST OF ABBEVILLE, ALABAMA.
EIGHT RAILROAD CARS WERE FLIPPED OFF OF THEIR TRACKS ALONG ALABAMA
HIGHWAY 173 JUST SOUTH OF A PULPWOOD PLANT. OTHERWISE, DAMAGE WAS
CONFINED TO TREES ON THE REMAINDER OF THE PATH.

SURVEY SUMMARY:
A TORNADO TRACK SURVEYED FROM JUST SOUTH OF THE ALABAMA STATE LINE IN JACKSON
COUNTY, FLORIDA TO PANSY, AL IN HOUSTON COUNTY. DAMAGE WAS CONFINED TO NUMEROUS
UPROOTED AND SNAPPED TREES, EXCEPT WHERE A LARGE TREE BADLY DAMAGED A HOUSE
IN COTTONWOOD. THE PATH VARIED FROM 100 TO 200 YARDS. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT
THIS STORM MOVED INTO EARLY COUNTY GEORGIA AS WELL.
