Showers and thunderstorms produced heavy rain across Kansas,
northern Missouri, and southern Iowa over the past 24 hours.  Basin
average amounts were generally less than 1.00 inch with higher averages
in the 1.00-3.00 inch range across eastern Kansas.  Manhattan, Kansas
had a local report of almost 5 inches of rain.  Another area of heavy
rain fell across east-central Colorado with basin averages in the 1.00-2.00
inch range.  Lighter precipitation was scattered across much of the
remainder of the Missouri River basin, with amounts generally less
than .50 inch.

During the next 24 hours ending at 7AM Wednesday, rainfall is expected
across a large area of the Missouri River basin.  Basin average amounts
should be generally less than 0.50 inches with higher amounts approaching
1.00 inch across central Colorado and western Kansas.

No flooding is occurring within the Missouri River Basin and none is
expected for the next 24 hours.
