FLOOD STATEMENT

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in
Indiana...

  White River...



.Rivers have crested and are forecast to fall over the next few
days. Forecast rain may cause renewed rises on area rivers and
streams during the mid to late portion of next week.


Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The White River at Petersburg.
* until Sunday April 26.
* At 11:30 AM Sunday the stage was 14.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Friday evening and continue to
  rise to near 16.2 feet by Saturday early afternoon.the river will
  fall below flood stage by Sunday morning.
* At 16.0 feet...Flooding affects agricultural lands.

  The White River at Hazleton.
* until Monday April 27.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 16.3
  feet early Sunday morning.
* At 16.0 feet...Flooding begins in lowest bottomlands and a few local
  roads.  High water affects a few low oil fields.
