ANOTHER UNSEASONABLY WARM DAY WAS OBSERVED ACROSS CENTRAL AND
SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS TODAY. THANKS TO PARTLY SUNNY SKIES AND A STRONG
SOUTHERLY BREEZE...AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES SOARED WELL INTO THE
80S.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER-LEVEL
DISTURBANCE WILL TRACK NORTHWARD ACROSS MISSOURI AND IOWA THIS
EVENING. FURTHER EAST ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION...WARM
AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL. AS A STORM SYSTEM OVER THE ROCKIES
SHIFTS EASTWARD...RAIN CHANCES WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD ACROSS THE
ENTIRE MIDWEST BY THE END OF THE WEEK. PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS FROM THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY COULD YIELD HEAVY
RAINFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES...PARTICULARLY FROM ILLINOIS WESTWARD.

OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES...WILL BE IN THE UPPER 50S AND LOWER 60S.

HIGH TEMPERATURES ON THURSDAY...WILL MAINLY BE IN THE 80S...BUT WILL
BE HELD IN THE MIDDLE 70S FURTHER WEST ACROSS WESTERN SECTIONS OF
IOWA AND MISSOURI WHERE SHOWERS WILL BE PREVALENT.
