...A STRONG COLD FRONT WITH POSSIBLE HEAVY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
SATURDAY NIGHT OVER PARTS OF SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA...

A SERIES OF PACIFIC WEATHER SYSTEMS HAVE MOVED INTO THE REGION SINCE
THURSDAY PROVIDING COOLER WEATHER AND A FEW SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. HOWEVER THE LAST IN THE SERIES OF DISTURBANCES WILL BE
THE STRONGEST...AND IS FORECAST TO MOVE INTO CENTRAL ARIZONA FROM
THE NORTHWEST SATURDAY NIGHT.

A VERY STRONG COLD FRONT WILL ACCOMPANY THE DISTURBANCE SATURDAY
NIGHT AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO DEVELOP SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WITH POSSIBLE BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WIND.

THE CURRENT FORECAST THINKING IS FOR THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP IN LA PAZ AND NORTHWEST MARICOPA COUNTIES
JUST BEFORE 9 PM SATURDAY NIGHT...THEN SWEEP ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF
MARICOPA...NORTHERN PINAL...AND GILA COUNTIES JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT.
THIS INCLUDES THE GREATER PHOENIX AREA.
