AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO EASTERN MISSOURI
BY THIS AFTERNOON, TO SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS EARLY IN THE EVENING,
THEN WELL EAST OF THE QUAD STATE REGION BY MIDNIGHT, DRAGGING A
COLD FRONT WITH IT. AS THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES TOWARD
THE QUAD STATE REGION, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ON THE
INCREASE, ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. SOME OF THESE
STORMS WILL LIKELY TURN SEVERE AS THEY MOVE THROUGH THE AREA.
TEMPERATURES IN ADVANCE OF THIS POTENT WEATHER SYSTEM WILL REACH
INTO THE UPPER 70S TO LOWER 80S TODAY...WITH UPPER 60S EXPECTED
NORTH OF INTERSTATE 64. FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF A COLD FRONT
THROUGH THE AREA SATURDAY NIGHT, LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE MIDDLE
40S NORTH TO LOWER 50S SOUTH.
