AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN
834 AM CDT MON MAY 4 2015

.MESOSCALE UPDATE...
BERMUDA RIDGE BECOMING A LITTLE STRONGER ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST.
FRONTAL SYSTEM OUT THROUGH KANSAS...FAR NORTHERN MISSOURI INTO
GREAT LAKES REGION WILL REMAIN IN SAME GENERAL AREA NEXT 24 HOURS
DUE TO STRENGTH OF SURFACE RIDGING ALONG WITH UPPER RIDGING.
CONVECTION THAT HAS WORKED INTO SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND ACROSS
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS SHOULD BEGIN TO WANE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS AS IT
HAS GOTTEN EAST OF THE 298 KELVIN ISENTROPIC SURFACE THAT SEEMS TO
HAVE SUPPLIED MUCH OF THE MOISTURE CONVERGENCE THAT KEPT IT GOING
EARLIER IN THE NIGHT.

SO LOOKING AT A DRY FORECAST TODAY WITH TEMPS WARMING INTO THE LOW
TO MIDDLE 80S WITH UPPER 70S ALONG THE PLATEAU.
