...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM THURSDAY TO 5 AM
PDT FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY ABOVE 6500 FEET FOR PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW WHICH
IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM THURSDAY TO 5 AM PDT FRIDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: UP TO 4 INCHES ABOVE 6500 FEET. UP TO
  SEVERAL INCHES POSSIBLE ABOVE 7500 FEET.

* TIMING: LIGHT SHOWERS POSSIBLE TODAY. HEAVIER SHOWERS THURSDAY
  AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: ECHO SUMMIT...CARSON PASS...EBBETS PASS AND
  SONORA PASS

* WINDS: NORTHEAST 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* IMPACTS: SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS. POSSIBLE CHAIN CONTROLS.
