RANGELAND FIRE DANGER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SIOUX FALLS SD
333 AM CDT MON APR 13 2015

.DISCUSSION...
ISSUED AT 335 PM CDT SUN APR 12 2015

STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH DRY AIR AND VEGETATION TO
PRODUCE EXTREME FIRE DANGER TODAY IN MOST OF THE AREA ALONG AND
NORTH OF INTERSTATE 90. HIGH TO VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER IS EXPECTED TO
THE SOUTH. A STRONG SOUTHERLY WIND REGIME TUESDAY WITH STILL DRY AIR
AND WARMER TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY PRODUCE EXTREME FIRE DANGER OVER
AT LEAST THE WESTERN PART OF THE AREA...AND THIS EXTREME AREA MAY
NEED TO BE EXPANDED LATER. VERY HIGH TO HIGH FIRE DANGER IS EXPECTED
TO THE SOUTHEAST...MAINLY IN NORTHWEST IOWA WHERE WINDS TUESDAY WILL
BE SLOWER TO INCREASE THAN OVER THE REST OF THE AREA.

CONSIDER POSTPONING BURNING DUE TO THE VERY HIGH OR EXTREME FIRE
DANGER.
