.AN UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN ASSOCIATED WITH A STATIONARY FRONT
OVER THE REGION...COUPLED WITH ALREADY SATURATED SOIL
CONDITIONS...WILL MAINTAIN A FLOOD THREAT DURING PERIODS OF HEAVY
RAINFALL AT LEAST THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. THE THREAT FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA...
  ASCENSION...ASSUMPTION...EAST BATON ROUGE...EAST FELICIANA...
  IBERVILLE...LIVINGSTON...LOWER JEFFERSON...LOWER LAFOURCHE...
  LOWER PLAQUEMINES...LOWER ST. BERNARD...LOWER TERREBONNE...
  NORTHERN TANGIPAHOA...ORLEANS...POINTE COUPEE...SOUTHERN

* THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING

* ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA THIS
  AFTERNOON WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE. A LARGER AREA
  OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS
  SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI AND SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA LATE TONIGHT AND
  DURING THE DAY ON SATURDAY. THIS COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS IS
  EXPECTED TO BE THE MAIN THREAT OF HEAVY RAIN OVER THE NEXT 24
  TO 36 HOURS. MANY AREAS ARE COMPLETELY SATURATED. ONE TO THREE
  INCHES OF RAIN COULD FALL IN HEAVIER STORMS...WITH LOCALLY
  HIGHER AMOUNTS.

* AREAS THAT SEE HEAVY RAINFALL WITHIN A SHORT TIME COULD
  RECEIVE FLOOD WATER TO DEPTHS THAT WOULD IMPACT PROPERTY AND
  PEOPLE IN THOSE AREAS. AREA CREEKS...STREAMS AND RIVERS ARE
  ALSO LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE RISES...AND SOME MAY RISE TO
  BANKFULL OR FLOOD LEVELS OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR HEAVY
RAINFALL THAT MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A
VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
