THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

AT LEAST ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT IS
EXPECTED TO OCCUR ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA. LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...THE INITIAL DEVELOPMENT IS LIKELY TO OCCUR WITHIN A
NARROW...SOUTHWEST-TO-NORTHEAST CORRIDOR NEAR A COLD FRONT
INVADING SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THEN THIS EVENING INTO
TONIGHT...COVERAGE OF STORMS SHOULD EXPAND...BUT TEND TO FAVOR
COUNTIES SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80...INCLUDING NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.
ALTHOUGH WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT ANTICIPATED...AT LEAST A
FEW STRONG TO MARGINALLY SEVERE STORMS COULD OCCUR ALMOST
ANYWHERE IN THE OUTLOOK AREA...ESPECIALLY BETWEEN 5 PM AND
MIDNIGHT. HOWEVER...SOME STRONG STORMS COULD LINGER LATER INTO THE
NIGHT AS WELL. WITH ANY SEVERE STORMS THAT MIGHT FORM...THE
PRIMARY THREATS WILL BE HAIL TO AROUND THE SIZE OF QUARTERS...AND
WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 60 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

ON MONDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT...THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN POSSIBLE ACROSS
THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA. HOWEVER...THE GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE
STORMS WILL AGAIN FOCUS DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING
HOURS...IN THE VICINITY OF A STALLED SURFACE FRONT. THIS SEVERE
WEATHER RISK AREA SHOULD FOCUS SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM
OSCEOLA...TO HASTINGS...TO ALMA NEBRASKA...AND INCLUDING NORTH
CENTRAL KANSAS. THE PRIMARY HAZARDS WILL BE HAIL UP TO AROUND THE
SIZE OF GOLF BALLS...AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 60 MPH.

TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...THUNDERSTORM CHANCES REMAIN IN THE
FORECAST ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA. AT THIS TIME...SEVERE STORMS DO
NOT APPEAR LIKELY TUESDAY OR TUESDAY NIGHT. ANY POTENTIAL FOR
SEVERE STORMS ON WEDNESDAY AND BEYOND WILL BE ADDRESSED IN FUTURE
OUTLOOKS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED ON AT LEAST AN ISOLATED
BASIS WITHIN VARIOUS PARTS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA ...PRIMARILY
BETWEEN 5 PM AND MIDNIGHT.
