ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND BREEZY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
THE REGION TODAY. THE WINDS WILL BE SOUTHERLY AT 15 TO 25 MPH WITH
SOME GUSTS TO OVER 30 MPH. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE 70S
UNDER MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY SOUTH WINDS AND
LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL RESULT IN CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS PRIMARILY NORTH AND WEST OF A STOCKTON...KANSAS TO
COLUMBUS...NEBRASKA LINE WHERE A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR
THIS AFTERNOON. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE ROCKIES
LATER THIS WEEK AND WILL BRING A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS STARTING WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND LASTING INTO THE UPCOMING
WEEKEND.
