SYNOPSIS...RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT ACROSS
EASTERN NEVADA WITH COOLER TEMPERATURES FOR THE REST OF THE
WEEKEND. HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS ON SUNDAY WITH WARMER TEMPERATURES
ON TAP FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK.

SHORT TERM...UPPER LEVEL LOW EVIDENT OVER NORTHERN NEVADA THIS
AFTERNOON WITH WRAP AROUND PRECIPITATION ACROSS NORTHERN ELKO
COUNTY. INSTABILITY ACROSS NORTHERN NYE AND WHITE PINE COUNTIES
WITH THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING ACROSS THIS AREA THROUGH EARLY THIS
EVENING. PATCHY FOG A SLIGHT CONCERN OVERNIGHT WITH CLOUDS
DECREASING...HOWEVER CONFIDENCE LOW AS NORTHWESTERLY FLOW MAY BE
STRONG ENOUGH TO KEEP THE MENTION OF FOG OUT OF THE FORECAST FOR
NOW. OTHERWISE A FEW RAIN/SNOW SHOWERS EXPECTED WITH ONLY LIGHT
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING WITH SNOW LEVELS
BETWEEN 5000 AND 6000 FEET. GUSTY WINDS EXPECTED ACROSS NORTHERN
NYE AND SOUTHEAST ELKO COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT WITH WIND
ADVISORIES IN EFFECT. WINDS SHOULD DECREASE BY MID-DAY SUNDAY IN
WEST WENDOVER AREA...WHILE CONTINUED GUSTY WINDS ACROSS NORTHWEST
NYE COUNTY TOMORROW AFTERNOON BUT SHOULD REMAIN BELOW ADVISORY
LEVELS. SHOWERS WILL END ACROSS FAR EASTERN NEVADA TOMORROW
MORNING WITH HIGH PRESSURE RETURNING SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY REBOUND TO THE 60S ON MONDAY
AND MID TO UPPER 70S BY TUESDAY.

LONG TERM...TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH NEXT SATURDAY. MODELS IN FAIRLY
GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE OVERALL PATTERN THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
FLAT RIDGE OVER THE CWA TUESDAY NIGHT SHIFTS EAST INTO THE ROCKIES
BY THURSDAY AS A SYSTEM MOVES INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. WITH THE
CWA UNDER A DRY SOUTHWEST FLOW...DO NOT EXPECT MUCH IN THE WAY OF
PRECIPITATION...EXCEPT POSSIBLY ALONG THE ID-NV BORDER. GFS MUCH
STRONGER WITH THIS TROF...BUT BOTH MODEL SOLUTIONS INDICATE MOSTLY
DRY OVER THE CWA EXCEPT PERHAPS A FEW SHOWERS OVER THE CENTRAL NV
MOUNTAINS THURSDAY AND THURSDAY EVENING. HAVE SOME VERY LOW POPS IN
WHITE PINE COUNTY ON SATURDAY AS EC AND GFS HINT AT SOME DYNAMICS.
TEMPERATURES NEAR 80 DEGREES AT WESTERN ZONES ON WEDNESDAY...THEN
WITH TROF ON THURSDAY...DAYTIME TEMPERATURES COOL DOWN TO JUST A FEW
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL DURING THE REST OF THE FORECAST PERIOD.

AVIATION...A MOIST ATMOSPHERE FROM THE STORM SYSTEM OVER THE CWA
MAY PRODUCE A FEW RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS AT KEKO AND KELY THIS
EVENING. SOME MVFR/IFR REDUCTIONS TO CIG/VSBY AT KELY AND KTPH THIS
EVENING UNTIL THE STORM SYSTEM MOVES IN UTAH AFTER 04Z. FROM THE
RECENT RAINFALL...VCFG MAY DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT AFTER SKIES CLEAR
AT KWMC...KEKO...AND KELY.
