WASHINGTON DC...REAGAN NATIONAL AIRPORT...

THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW NORMAL FOR THE THIRD
CONSECUTIVE MONTH. MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS ABOVE NORMAL.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME BACK-TO-BACK YEARS HAD BELOW NORMAL MONTHLY
AVERAGE TEMPERATURES IN JANUARY FEBRUARY AND MARCH SINCE 1969-1970.

RELIEF FROM THE COLD TEMPERATURES CAME BRIEFLY ON MARCH 26TH WHEN
DCA OBSERVED A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 77 DEGREES...ITS WARMEST DAY
SINCE OCTOBER 28TH 2014.

MONTHLY SNOWFALL WAS ABOVE NORMAL. THIS IS THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE
MARCH WITH ABOVE NORMAL SNOWFALL.

A RECORD DAILY MAXIMUM SNOWFALL OF 4.8 INCHES WAS SET ON THE 5TH.
THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 4.4 INCHES SET IN 1888.
