FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL
ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHOENIX AZ
316 PM MST MON MAY 4 2015

.DISCUSSION...
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE ARIZONA
FIRE DISTRICTS THROUGH THE EVENING...WITH SOME CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS. MORE ISOLATED
THUNDERSHOWER COVERAGE WILL EXPAND TOWARDS THE CO RIVER VALLEY AND
DOT SOUTHEAST CA BEFORE DISSIPATING OVERNIGHT. DUE TO RAIN SOAKED
SURFACES AND ELEVATED DEWPOINTS MOST LOCALES WILL HAVE GOOD TO
EXCELLENT OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES. SOME DRYING WILL BEGIN TO TRANSITION
INTO THE AREA TUESDAY BUT ELEVATED WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL
PERSIST ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION.

...THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY GUSTY WINDS...

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
IN THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
