HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL FORECAST DISCUSSION

...PRECIPITATION...

THERE WAS VERY LITTLE RAINFALL OVER THE NCRFC AREA IN THE PAST 24
HOURS.  EARLY THIS MORNING STORMS STARTED MOVING INTO THE IOWA
PORTION OF OUR COVERAGE AREA.  BY 7:00AM CDT.. ABOUT 0.30"-0.40"
OF RAINFALL ACCUMULATION HAD OCCURRED NEAR THE CITY OF DES MOINES.

OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS... THE STORMS MOVING IN FROM THE DOWN SOUTH
WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH NORTH OVER MUCH OF MISSOURI... IOWA...
MINNESOTA.. AND THE DAKOTAS.  THE BULK OF THE RAINFALL IS EXPECTED
TO OCCUR OVER NORTHWEST MISSOURI AND CENTRAL IOWA WHERE ABOUT AN
INCH OF RAINFALL ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED.  WHILE MUCH OF
MINNESOTA AND THE DAKOTAS WILL SEE ONE-HALF TO AN INCH.


...HYDROLOGIC CONDITIONS...

ON THE SOURIS RIVER IN NORTH DAKOTA.. WATER LEVELS ARE FORECAST TO
EXCEED MODERATE FLOOD STAGE DURING THE NEXT WEEK AT A FEW
LOCATIONS DOWNSTREAM OF LAKE DARLING INCLUDING FOXHOLM.. TOWNER
AND BANTRY.

A FEW LOCATIONS IN WISCONSIN AND MICHIGAN REMAIN ABOVE FORECAST
ISSUANCE STAGE (FIS) FOLLOWING THE HEAVY RAINS TEN DAYS AGO BUT
MOST ARE IN RECESSION.
