BY LATE AFTERNOON...AN UPPER LEVEL WAVE MOVED ACROSS IOWA AND
INTO NORTHWEST ILLINOIS. THIS BROUGHT SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA. BY MID AFTERNOON...MILLEDGEVILLE
ILLINOIS...IN CARROLL COUNTY...SAW NICKLE SIZE HAIL AND 1.21
INCHES OF RAIN WHILE LANARK REPORTED 2.25 INCHES. PRINCETON
ILLINOIS...IN BUREAU COUNTY...EXPERIENCED SOME LATE AFTERNOON
STORMS THAT PRODUCED PEA TO DIME SIZE HAIL. HIGH TEMPERATURES
RANGED FROM 85 IN MACOMB...AND BECAUSE OF THE THICK CLOUD COVER
ALL DAY FREEPORT ILLINOIS ONLY SAW 66 DEGREES.

RAIN AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE FROM
NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST THIS EVENING...AS A COLD FRONT DROPS
SOUTHEASTWARD INTO IOWA. MONDAY MORNING LOWS WILL BE IN THE UPPER
50S TO LOW 60S. MONDAY WILL SEE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS...WITH THE BEST CHANCE FOR THEM DURING THE MID TO
LATE AFTERNOON HOURS DURING THE PEAK HEATING. A LOW RISK FOR AN
ISOLATED SEVERE STORM CANNOT BE RULED OUT. HIGHS MONDAY WILL REACH
THE LOW 70S NORTH TO NEAR 80 SOUTH.
