WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MAINE AND NEW HAMPSHIRE

EARLY THIS MORNING SKIES WERE MOSTLY CLOUDY ACROSS MUCH OF THE
FORECAST AREA EXCEPT FOR SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE.  ACROSS THE NORTH
AND MOUNTAINS SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUE THIS MORNING BUT
WILL START TO DIMINISH LATER THIS MORNING.  TEMPERATURES WERE ALL
THE DOWN INTO THE LOW 20S ACROSS FAR NORTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND
NORTHWEST MAINE WITH 30S ELSEWHERE.  HIGHS WILL CLIMB INTO THE LOW
TO MID 50S ACROSS THE SOUTH AND ONLY INTO THE UPPER 30S TO LOW 40S
IN THE NORTH.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY
OVER THE AREA THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THIS WILL BRING SCATTERED
AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS EACH DAY WITH SNOW SHOWERS OVER THE
HIGHER TERRAIN. DUE TO RATHER COLD AIR ALOFT...SOME OF THE SHOWERS
MAY CONTAIN SMALL HAIL.
