FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
406 AM EDT SUN APR 19 2015

...SLOWLY IMPROVING HUMIDITY WEST AS SHOWERS NEAR...

.DISCUSSION...THERE WAS LITTLE OVERNIGHT HUMIDITY RECOVERY OVER
SOUTHWESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN. AT 3 AM CENTRAL...THE RELATIVE
HUMIDITY WAS STILL AROUND 40 PERCENT AT IRONWOOD AND
WAKEFIELD. LOOK FOR MOISTENING AIR TODAY OVER THE WESTERN
THIRD OF UPPER MICHIGAN...WHERE RAIN SHOWERS WILL SLOWLY MOVE
IN. ANY SHOWERS WEST THIS MORNING COULD BRING DOWN SOME OF THE
STRONG GUSTY WINDS FROM JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE...ON THE ORDER
OF 30 TO 40 MPH. DRY WEATHER WILL CONTINUE CENTRAL AND EAST UNTIL
TONIGHT...WHEN RAIN SHOWERS AND LOW PRESSURE MOVE OVERHEAD. OUR
WARM PERIOD WILL THEN BE OVER...AS COLDER AIR SLIDES IN BEHIND
THE EXITING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT WILL LINGER OVER EASTERN
ONTARIO AND SOUTHERN QUEBEC THROUGH THE UPCOMING WORK WEEK.
WHILE UNSETTLED WEATHER WILL REMAIN...THE BEST CHANCE FOR ANY
ACCUMULATING RAIN OR SNOW FROM MONDAY NIGHT ON WILL BE FOR
LOCATIONS CLOSER TO LAKE SUPERIOR.
