.A TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT ASSOCIATED WITH A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE PLAINS AND TOWARD THE TENNESSEE AND OHIO
VALLEYS. THIS WILL RESULT IN SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 20
MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS TO NEAR 25-30 MPH.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS ISSUED A LAKE WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM CDT
THIS EVENING.

* EVENT...A TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT ASSOCIATED WITH A SURFACE LOW
  PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE PLAINS TOWARD THE TENNESSEE
  AND OHIO VALLEYS WILL PRODUCE STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS OF 15-20
  MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS TO 25-30 MPH.

* TIMING...FROM 9 AM TO 7 PM CDT TODAY.

* IMPACT...A ROUGH CHOP MAY CAUSE HAZARDOUS BOATING CONDITIONS ON
  AREA LAKES AND OPEN WATERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE WIND ADVISORY INDICATES THAT WINDS WILL CAUSE ROUGH CHOP
ON AREA LAKES. SMALL BOATS WILL BE ESPECIALLY PRONE TO CAPSIZING
AFTER TAKING ON WATER IN THE ROUGH CONDITIONS.
