.SYNOPSIS... A WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP IN THE VICINITY
OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK BRINGING STRONGER
ONSHORE FLOW WITH A COOLING TREND...DEEPENING OF THE MARINE LAYER
WITH A RETURN OF NIGHT AND MORNING COASTAL LOW CLOUDS AND FOG...AND
GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. FOR WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY...A COLDER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FROM THE NORTHWEST WILL MOVE
INTO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BRINGING CONTINUED COOLING AND A CHANCE OF
SHOWERS. ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FROM THE NORTHWEST IS POSSIBLE
FOR NEXT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY WHICH WOULD CONTINUE THE CHANCES FOR
SHOWERS.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING
ORANGE... SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN
BERNARDINO COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (TODAY THROUGH MONDAY)...A WEAK LOW PRESSURE WILL
DEVELOP OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST AND MOVE SLOWLY SOUTHWARD THROUGH
MONDAY. THIS WILL BRING STRONGER ONSHORE FLOW WITH COOLING SPREADING
INLAND FROM THE COAST WITH GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND
DESERTS. THE MARINE WILL GRADUALLY DEEPEN WITH COASTAL LOW CLOUDS
AND FOG RETURNING TONIGHT...PUSHING INLAND INTO PORTIONS OF THE
INLAND VALLEYS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY.

.LONG TERM (TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY)... THE WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL MOVE INLAND THROUGH SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA TUESDAY BRINGING ADDITIONAL DEEPENING OF THE MARINE LAYER
WITH GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. FOR WEDNESDAY
AND THURSDAY...A COLDER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FROM THE NORTHWEST WILL
BRING A LITTLE MORE COOLING ALONG WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. LESS
CERTAIN IS THE POSSIBILITY OF ANOTHER COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FROM
THE NORTHWEST THAT WOULD CONTINUE THE CHANCE FOR SHOWERS FOR FRIDAY
AND SATURDAY.

180958Z...A FEW PATCHES OF FOG MAY DEVELOP OVER THE
COASTAL WATERS THROUGH 15Z...BUT ARE NOT EXPECTED TO REACH THE
COASTAL AIRPORTS. PATCHY STRATUS/FOG WITH BASES AOB 800 FT MSL AND
WIDESPREAD VIS 5SM OR LESS REDEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING
OVER THE COASTAL WATERS...POSSIBLY MOVING UP TO 8 MI INLAND LATE
TONIGHT. CONFIDENCE IN TIMING OF ONSET IS LOW.

300 AM...A FEW PATCHES OF DENSE FOG WITH VIS 1 NM OR LESS
MAY DEVELOP OVER THE COASTAL WATERS THIS MORNING...AND AGAIN LATE
THIS AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY MORNING. NO HAZARDOUS MARINE WEATHER IS
EXPECTED SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
