FLOOD WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON, TX

...River flooding is of moderate severity for the following rivers in Texas...
  San Bernard River Near Boling affecting Brazoria...Fort Bend and Wharton
  Counties.
  San Bernard River near Sweeny affecting Brazoria County.

For the San Bernard River, at Boling and Sweeny, Moderate flooding is occuring
and is expected to continue.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.

Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route.

Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few
days.

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or other news sources for further updates.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The San Bernard River Near Boling...
* until Saturday morning or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0945 AM Wednesday...the stage was 25.7 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and forecast.
* Flooding stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is receding and expected to fall below flood stage
  Friday evening before midnight.
* At 25.0 feet...There is Significant backwater flooding up Peach Creek...
  and minor backwater flooding up West Bernard Creek in Wharton County.
  Significant backwater up Snake Creek threatens low lying areas in the
  Tierra Grande subdivision.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The San Bernard River near Sweeny...
* until Thursday morning or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0800 AM Wednesday...the stage was 17.2 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring then Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flooding stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is receding and expected to drop below flood stage overnight.
* At 17.0 feet...Moderate lowland flooding begins. Water
  is over the mid level walkway at the Phillips Terminal near Sweeny. Barges can
  not push barges upstream and are unable to dock. Water begins spilling into
  the left flood plain.
