FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NW OREGON AND SW WASHINGTON
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORTLAND OR
225 PM PDT MON APR 27 2015

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL REPLACE THE
UPPER LEVEL RIDGE TONIGHT. A COUPLE OF WEAK FRONTS WILL SUPPORT
MOISTER AND COOLER CONDITIONS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...WITH THE WINDS
REMAINING RELATIVELY LIGHT. A FLAT UPPER RIDGE WILL RESULT IN
SLIGHT WARMING AND DRYING LATE IN THE WEEK.

.DISCUSSION...AN UPPER RIDGE WILL SHIFT EAST TONIGHT AND TUESDAY AS
AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH SETTLES OVER THE DISTRICT. WEAK ONSHORE
WINDS WILL SUPPORT A WEAK MARINE PUSH TONIGHT FOR EXCELLENT
HUMIDITY RECOVERIES. A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
DISTRICT TUESDAY...WITH NO WETTING RAIN. COOLER AIR BEHIND THE
FRONT WILL RESULT IN DAYTIME TEMPERATURES PEAKING NEAR THE
SEASONAL NORMALS. ANOTHER WEAK FRONT IS EXPECTED WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON OR EVENING. THE SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENTS REMAIN WEAK
WITH THE FRONT PASSAGES AND THE SURFACE WINDS WILL REMAIN LESS
THAN 15 MPH THROUGH AT LEAST WEDNESDAY. A FLAT UPPER LEVEL RIDGE
SHOULD STEER APPROACHING SYSTEMS NORTH OF OREGON THURSDAY AND
FRIDAY FOR GRADUALLY DRIER AND WARMER CONDITIONS.

***WINDS ARE 20 FOOT 10 MINUTE AVERAGES***
***CWR-CHANCE OF WETTING RAIN 0.25 OR GREATER***
