THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN...
WESTERN...CENTRAL...AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN NORTH
TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PART OF FAR
WESTERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS.

LOCATION...
THE SLIGHT RISK AREA IS GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF A WICHITA
FALLS TO ALTUS AND CHEYENNE LINE. EAST OF THE SLIGHT RISK AREA...A
FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE...MAINLY WEST OF ALVA...
CHICKASHA AND ARDMORE.

TIMING...
3 PM TO 10 PM

IMPACTS...
THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL TO THE
SIZE OF GOLF BALLS AND 60 TO 70 MPH WIND GUSTS.

A TORNADO OR TWO WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE... ESPECIALLY ACROSS
PORTIONS OF WESTERN NORTH TEXAS AND SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA.

ADDITIONALLY...THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY
HEAVY RAIN WHICH MAY RESULT IN SOME FLOODING.

DISCUSSION...
NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
IN WEST TEXAS THIS MORNING...AS A TROUGH APPROACHES THE SOUTHERN
PLAINS. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD INTO
WESTERN OKLAHOMA AND ADJACENT AREAS OF NORTH TEXAS THROUGH THE
MORNING.

BY EARLY TO MID AFTERNOON...THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE MAY DECREASE
ENOUGH TO ALLOW FOR HEATING AND DESTABILIZATION ACROSS
WEST TEXAS AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA. IF THIS OCCURS... A FEW STRONG
TO SEVERE STORMS MAY DEVELOP. RATHER STRONG LOW LEVEL WIND SHEAR
COMBINED WITH WEAK INSTABILITY MAY ALSO SUPPORT THE RISK OF A
FEW TORNADOES...ESPECIALLY WITHIN THE SLIGHT RISK AREA.

BY LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...THUNDERSTORM WILL BECOME
MORE NUMEROUS AS THE TROUGH LIFTS NORTHEAST INTO THE CENTRAL
PLAINS. THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD INTO CENTRAL AND EASTERN
OKLAHOMA DURING THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS.

.SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STATEMENT...

STORM SPOTTER GROUPS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL ACROSS
WESTERN NORTH TEXAS AND SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA SHOULD BE READY FOR
SEVERE WEATHER OPERATIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

.THUNDERSTORMS...
A RATHER ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN WILL REMAIN IN PLACE WEDNESDAY
INTO AT LEAST SUNDAY WITH A RISK OF SEVERE STORMS EACH DAY ALONG
WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING RAINFALL.

FOR WEDNESDAY...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE STORMS
MAINLY WEST OF ENID...LAWTON AND WICHITA FALLS. THE SLIGHT RISK
AREA FOR THURSDAY IS MAINLY CONFINED TO A SMALL AREA OF SOUTHWEST
OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS.

A HIGHER LIKELIHOOD FOR SEVERE STORMS MAY EXIST ON SATURDAY AND
SUNDAY.
