...The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg
has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in North
Carolina...


  South Fork Catawba River In Nc At Lowell affecting Gaston County


.Runoff from heavy rain will cause the river to rise above flood
stage.
 Remember...river stage forecasts are based on observed and
forecasted rainfall. If actual rainfall varies from the forecast
values...the river stage will vary accordingly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Remember...nightime makes it
difficult to recognize flooded areas.

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  the South Fork Catawba River in NC at Lowell.
* From this morning to Tuesday morning...or until the warning is
  cancelled.
* At 11:45 PM Sunday the stage was 9.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...the river is forecast to rise above flood stage by this morning
  and continue to rise to near 10.2 feet by this afternoon. The river will
  fall below flood stage by this evening.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...the river will overflow its banks and begin
  to flood Riverside Park and portions of Goat Island Park. Water
  approachs riverside drive near 5th and 6th Streets in Cramerton, NC.
