THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE LATE THIS MORNING ACROSS
SOUTHEAST KANSAS. THE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE STRONG OR
SEVERE.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE AGAIN EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP LATER THIS
AFTERNOON. THESE STORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE SEVERE WITH LARGE
HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. THE CHANCE FOR A WEAK TORNADO OR TWO CANNOT
BE RULED OUT...BUT CHANCES ARE BETTER WEST OF THE FORECAST AREA.
THE MAIN THREAT AREA WILL BE ALONG AND WEST OF THE INTERSTATE 135
CORRIDOR. THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY MOVE EASTWARD INTO THE AREA
DURING OVERNIGHT HOURS. STORMS COULD REMAIN STRONG...BUT ARE NOT
EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

THUNDERSTORMS ARE AGAIN EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE SATURDAY...
ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. THE MAIN THREAT
AREA IS ALONG AND WEST OF THE INTERSTATE 135 CORRIDOR. THE MAIN
THREATS WILL BE LARGE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS. HOWEVER...THE
THREAT FOR A TORNADO INCREASES ON SATURDAY OVER CENTRAL AND SOUTH
CENTRAL KANSAS ALONG AND NEAR THE DRYLINE IF IT PUSHES FURTHER
EAST. PLEASE WATCH THIS PERIOD FOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AS IT
NEARS.

THE UPPER LOW WILL MOVE EASTWARD SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME RAIN SHOWERS SUNDAY AS THEY
EXIT TO THE EAST.

AFTER A BRIEF LULL EARLY NEXT WEEK...THUNDERSTORM CHANCES RETURN
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD BE STRONG.
